WHK was the first radio station to broadcast in Ohio, and is the 15th oldest station still broadcasting in the United States. WHK is owned by the Salem Media Group. As with most Salem talk stations, on weekdays, WGTK runs the standard line up of conservative Salem syndicated talk shows. In addition, local Cleveland host Bob Frantz hosts a late morning show. And in late nights WHK carries ''The Mark Levin Show'' syndicated from Westwood One. Weekends feature programs on health, law, senior citizens, finances and Brokered programming. Shows aimed at the Polish and Irish communities are heard on Sundays. The WHK studios are located in the Cleveland suburb of Independence, while the station transmitter resides in neighboring Seven Hills. WHK operates at 5000 watts both day and night. The daytime signal is non-direction while the nighttime signal uses a directional antenna.
